How to book a ride?
Travel rides are scheduled, fixed-route bus trips between cities. You choose a fixed departure time and board at a specific station.
Step-by-Step Booking
1. Set your route: Tap "Where are you going?" on the home screen. Enter your pickup area (e.g., Maadi) and your destination city (e.g., Alexandria).
2. Confirm your drop-off: Review the route on the map and tap "Confirm dropoff".
3. Choose your time: Select your travel date (up to 10 days ahead) and tap a time slot to see available rides.
4. Pick a ride: Each card shows the station name, departure time, and your estimated walking time to the station. Tap a ride to see full details.
5. Finalize & Book: * Seats: Tap +/− to book up to 2 seats.
6. Confirm: Tap "Book your ride →".
💡 Pro-Tips for a Smooth Trip
1. Check the walking time: Swvl uses fixed stations. Always verify the walking time on the map (indicated by the dotted line) before booking.
2. The 10-Minute Rule: You can cancel for a 100% refund within 10 minutes of booking.
3. Arrive early: The bus will not wait past the scheduled time. Allow at least 5 minutes more than the estimated walking time.
4. Contact your Captain: Captain details (name and phone) appear in your trip details 15 minutes before pickup.
5. Track the bus live in the app or call the captain directly. If the bus is more than 15 minutes late, contact support via "Get help".
